The Benefits Of An Indoor Wood Boiler For Your Home
Wood heat has made something of a comeback in the past few decades because it tends to be less expensive than other forms of heating. However, there are still a number of drawbacks to using wood heat exclusively, not the least of which is the difficulty and time commitment involved in keeping a steady supply of cord wood on hand. For this reason, you may want to consider the Thermo Control 2500 Indoor Wood Boiler.
The Thermo Control 2500 Wood Boiler works with your existing indoor wood boiler, providing you with supplementary or backup hot water as needed. This can be a great benefit for you and your household when your existing boiler is having issues, if you simply find yourself running out of hot water before the entire household has finished showering, or if you are interested in using wood heat occasionally as a supplement to gas or oil.
The Thermo Control 2500 is easy to install, and you may find yourself able to do it quite simply on your own even if you do not have a lot of home improvement experience. First, consider the optional additional parts that you can order with the Thermo Control 2500 Wood Boiler. The first is an installation kit, which comes with most of the parts you will need to get your new boiler up and running. The second is the hot water coil, which will maintain water in the boiler and a comfortable temperature. The third is an insulation jacket, which fits around your boiler and prevents it from losing heat.
Once you have settled on parts, all you need to do is use piping to hook the Thermo Control 2500 Wood Boiler up to your existing indoor wood boiler, erect the chimney, and run line voltage to a transformer. Your current boiler and thermostat control the rest.
The Thermo Control 2500 is the middle of three sizes of wood boiler. It is slightly under five feet square and can heat up to 170 gallons of water at a time.
